I once read an article that said no one PLANS to go to Denny’s. They just end up there. We just ended up at Denny’s in Blithe California.

An amazing dining experience. Remember the grand slams? They can now be customized any which way. The price of course isn’t 299. It’s now about $14.

Perfectly cooked eggs, lean perfect sausage and bacon that’s just the right amount of crispness.  The biscuit was perfect as well, add a little bit of butter and jam and it was exquisite. The French toast, out of this world, and perhaps the best, for this mechanical guy was the syrup dispenser!No moving parts. Just turn it upside down and experience a perfect stream of syrup. No fuss, no muss.

We can’t say enough about waitress Jolene. She was warm, friendly and commiserated with our automotive journey in the rain. 

She offered us a wonderful new year, took care of our travel needs with the to go ice teas, and all with a smile and warm pleasantness of a good friend. 

So the next time you’re in Blythe, stop by and visit with Jolene at Dennys.  Enjoy a grand slam and hit a home run on your trip.
